I've been a Be fan since before the "release" hardware existed, so I'm very excited about the Haiku (http://www.haiku-os.org/) project.

Now that I've freed the MacBook from iPhone dev chores, I'm hoping I can get Haiku running on this machine one way or another.  I was able to get it to boot on Jamie's Aspire One (from a usb drive) so I would hope I could at least get it running in an emulator or something like that.
I haven't built a BeOS app yet, and it's something I'd like to try.
